SHOWING WITH US
Our show schedule is carefully crafted each season to align with your goals—whether that's qualifying for national finals, gaining miles in the rated divisions, beginning your journey in Outreach & Opportunity classes, or moving up confidently through the levels on your young horse.
We manage all logistics from entries to stabling, ensuring a seamless experience so riders and owners can stay focused on performance. Show billing is organized and transparent, with detailed monthly statements that include horse care, training services, braiding, shipping, and show-related expenses. Our team is here to support you every step of the way—from selecting the right shows to managing your horse’s fitness and care throughout the season.
Whether you're campaigning a seasoned competitor or developing a promising young prospect, Eastside Equestrian provides a professional, full-service show program built for success.
At Eastside Equestrian, our show weeks are thoughtfully structured to set both horse and rider up for success, while always keeping the horse’s wellbeing at the center of our program.
Trainer Rides & Schooling:
Typically, the trainer schools the horse on
Tuesday, Wednesday, and sometimes Thursday, with additional rides over the weekend if necessary. This allows the horse to feel confident and prepared without being overworked. Horses are encouraged to get out of their stalls as much as possible—whether that’s light hacks, hand-walking, or turnouts—because movement throughout the week helps maintain their soundness and focus.
Client Lessons & Riding:
Clients may have a
lesson or hack after the trainer ride on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. You’re welcome to come earlier in the week to watch your horse school, take a lesson, or get in the ring on designated schooling days. Riders often also take a lesson at the show venue once or twice before showing. On some weeks, trail rides or light flat sessions are also incorporated, depending on what’s best for the horse.
Arrival Timing:
Most clients arrive at the showgrounds between
Wednesday and Friday, depending on when their classes begin. Some come as early as Tuesday, while others arrive the day before they show. The schedule is
flexible and personalized, allowing riders to settle in at a pace that works best for them and their horse.
Protecting the Horse:
We are very mindful about how many classes each horse enters in a given day or weekend. Each show plan is tailored to the horse’s age, fitness, and experience level. We aim to
avoid over-jumping or overuse, always favoring quality trips over quantity. Our goal is to keep horses confident, sound, and enjoying their job—for the long haul.
